Officially launched on August 27, 2019 at Expohospital Santiago de Chile -Chile It was successfully presented at the medical technology and innovation fair www.expohospital.cl

The Biobist-Rivscalpel, a patent application at the Institute of Intellectual Property Chile under the international convention of Paris for 174 nations and www.rivadeneiramd.cl offers private and public health systems a new bet, a turning point in modern surgery, a new device that joins the existing ones to revolutionize the way we perform surgical procedures and how we are responsible to our planet. For the first time in the history of medicine we questioned the "status quo" of current metal surgery equipment to create a new line of eco-sustainable surgical equipment, with 100% biosafety in surgical procedures, further improving visibility by offering photons at the point of incision which undoubtedly translates into better visual comfort for the doctor, nurse and paramedic technician.

We justify the creation of the device in 3 axes that we consider angular :

1.-BioSurgical safety - current metal surgery teams according to recent studies by the National Center for Biotechnology Information and Journal American Medical Association can transfer B-amyloid prions - protein sequence - generating diseases in the central nervous system. Although the probability is very low, it does exist. We want to eradicate that possibility. The device is 100% guaranteed not to transfer prions or amyloid proteins because of its single-use condition without prior contact with blood or body fluids.

- Collectively, all prion diseases raise the potential for surgical instruments to become contaminated with prions during surgical procedures (Davanipour et al., 1985; Collins et al., 1999; Minatogawa & Kumoi, 1999; Ward et al., 2002; Mahillo-Fernandez et al., 2008), including anaesthesia (Hernandez-Palazon et al., 1998) and dentistry (Smith et al., 2002; Walker et al., 2007).

2.- Eco-friendly: it is made of biopolymers and is biodegradable. The device generates negative impact -50 gr in the generation of hospital waste . This fact makes us a start-up with neutral balance of hospital waste term in acronym (B.N.B.H ) that soon will be introduced in the medical academy to measure the impact of companies on health that pollute. We can save tons of hospital waste going to the oceans and chemicals from the sterilization process. Today in the
World is generated 3kg/garbage/patient/day/ hospital

3.- Field of Vision - the device emits 50-60 lumens at the point of incision, improving visibility in minor surgery, this data would even create a new standard since the supreme decree Chile 594 https://www.leychile.cl/Consulta/m/norma_plana?org=&idNorma=167766 does not regulate light on incision sites regulates 5,000 lumens for dental chairs and 20,000 lumens for operating room tables.
